Our Story

Catherine is a writer/editor with a background in journalism and glossy magazines and Bill a lawyer and sometime judge. They met a few years back whilst deepening their knowledge of Vedic meditation, and ended up doing an intensive teacher training with Charlie Knoles in Bali. This profoundly deep experience led them to realise that joining forces would be a powerful way to share the meditation wisdom they’ve been taught with others. Both see teaching as a calling rather than a passing fad in the ever expanding world of wellness. Between them they have taught hundreds of people to meditate and believe it is a cornerstone in living life to the full particularly now as the world is going through so much change. Alongside Kind meditation contributors Davina Harbord and Annabel Boom our aim is to share teachings and support as many people as possible in their meditation practice.

“I wish I could show you, when you are lonely, or in darkness, the astonishing light of your own being”

Catherine

Catherine’s 20+ year journey with yogic practices began while writing/styling/editing glossy magazines, taking periods of time out to learn and absorb on her travels to India, Bali and Thailand. Of all the techniques she has experienced, Vedic meditation – whilst being practical – brought about such deep restoration and expansive shifts, it compelled her to share it with others. Alongside Kind Meditation co-Founder, Bill Lynds, she has taught hundreds of students of all levels, from all walks of life.
