      <image:title>Online Mantra Course - Why Mantra Meditation?</image:title>
      <image:caption>One way to translate the meaning of the word mantra is ‘instrument to go beyond the thinking mind’. On a subtle level, mantra is a sound vibration which brings us to a state of being where we go beyond the thinking mind. It’s the sound vibration which gives the mind a rest, rather than us having to focus, concentrate or resist anything. This particular form of Vedic mantra meditation is very subtle, the technique is to repeat the mantra mentally, as effortlessly as possible. As the process unfolds, the mind begins to settle itself, there is no need to push or force and that gives a feeling of deep relaxation which brings about many benefits including profound stress release and healing. That’s why we call this an effortless practice - anyone can learn and once you’ve learned, you have all you need to become a self-sufficient meditator.</image:caption>

Different to a hike, ramble or nature walk - where we’re physically engaged and active - walking in silence using yogic breathing and mindfulness techniques with intentionality reconnects us beyond our busy minds to our true nature and Nature itself. Each session is a unique immersion in the wonderful flora and fauna of Castle Ashby gardens and arboretum, no matter what the weather.       <image:caption>Tobias Keene, D.D.S. Hailing from Richmond, Virginia, Dr. Tobias Keene brings a bit of unabashed Southern hospitality to all his patients. He moved to Washington, D.C. over thirty years ago as a freshman at Ivy College. Right after graduation, he attended World University’s School of Dentistry. Before opening Keene Dental in 1994, he worked for free clinics and some of the finest practices in the District. He is part of the 123 Dental Association and stays up-to-date on the latest dental discoveries. When not striving to keep his patients happy and healthy, he’s enjoys hiking with his family in Rock Creek Park.</image:caption>
